Senior Vice President, Access Networking and Services Group,
Cisco Systems, Inc.
Kathy Hill brings more than 25 years of network engineering and management experience to her position as Senior Vice President for Cisco’s Access Networking and Services Group. In this capacity she oversees the Access Routing, Ethernet Switching, Security, and Wireless technology groups that deliver over $12 billion of Cisco’s annual revenues. Her group’s focus is on profitable growth and the integration of networking services onto Cisco’s full range of products. She is also a member of the newly formed Development Council, which provides collaborative leadership to drive the delivery of integrated products and solutions to customers. In addition to her primary responsibilities, Hill co-leads Cisco’s Commercial Business Council, a cross-functional team responsible for mid-market segment strategy as well as coordinated investment and execution in the commercial segment.
Previously, Hill was Vice President and General Manager of Cisco’s Desktop Switching Business Unit. Under her leadership, Cisco’s stackable Ethernet switch revenues grew to a multibillion-dollar business and also achieved record market share. Prior to joining Cisco, Hill was Vice President at Ascend. She also held senior management positions at Newbridge Networks and Hughes Network Systems.
Hill is a Board of Trustees Member of the Anita Borg Institute for Women and Technology and holds a bachelor’s of science degree in mathematics from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY.
